Eleven Texas Hill Country Communities are Preparing for a Brilliant Holiday Season!
The lights at night will be bigger and brighter during this holiday season as the famous Hill Country Christmas Lighting Trail lights the skies. Eleven communities are part of the Texas Hill Country Christmas Lighting Trail - the area's most celebrated family holiday tradition - between Thanksgiving and New Year's. The official start date of the trail is November 26, 2010.
Make plans now for family fun and fantastic viewing in Boerne, Burnet, Dripping Springs, Fredericksburg, Goldthwaite, Johnson City, Kerrville, Llano, Marble Falls, New Braunfels and Wimberley. All are within easy driving distance of Central Texas and promise holiday excitement and enticement for every member of the family.
Each community offers a variety of special events during the holiday season - each as varied as the towns themselves. Individuals and families are invited to enjoy each community's festive lighting displays from the comfort and safety of their vehicles, or by parking and strolling. Most activities are free or have minimal cost. Visitors are always welcome to shop, dine, and sightsee, as many stores and businesses keep special longer hours during the holidays.
Details of events in each town are available by checking out www.tex-fest.com or by contacting the Regional Christmas Lighting Trail HEadquarters in Fredericksburg at 1-866-TEX-FEST (839-3378).
