Christmas in Blanco! Visit downtown Blanco during the Holidays for a real hometown experience. Enjoy the lighting of Bindseil Park, the Old Blanco County Courthouse, the shops on the square and the remainder of the town. The annual lighting is the Friday after Thanksgiving at 6:00 pm. Also, enjoy the many events we have during the holidays. Blanco is located on Hwy 281, approximately 40 miles north of San Antonio and 40 miles west of Austin. November 23 – January 2 • Take a stroll through the path of lights and Christmas scenery in Bindseil Park as you go thru Christmas in Blanco’s Trail of Lights. November 23 • Christmas Art Show and Crafts for the family to be held in Uptown Art Center & Courtyard. Enjoy Christmas music being played as the festivities begin at 1:00pm. November 23 • Join in Christmas caroling on the Courthouse steps at 5:30 pm. Annual town lighting at 6:00 pm. Visit Santa and Mrs. Claus in the Old Blanco County Courthouse, shop local merchants on the Historic Downtown Square while enjoying refreshments and listening to Christmas music in various shops. Visit Blanco Pioneer Museum for an old fashioned Christmas setting and drawing for Christmas Wreath. Buggy rides will be available. December 1 • “Under the Byars Tree” Surprise event sponsored by Blanco National Bank December 1 • Buggy Barn Museum and Carriage Hills Ranch invite you and your family for an evening of Chuck Wagon Food and a Christmas Concert. Great family entertainment at 6:00 pm. December 7 • Community Choir – Johnson City December 8 • Annual Christmas Market Day around the square – 9:00 am. December 8 • Christmas Parade and Evening on the Square – 6:30 pm. Visit Santa and enjoy music in Bindseil Park following the Parade. Buggy rides will be available.
