Join us for a Hill Country kick-off to the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons! Enjoy a fun-filled day in historic downtown featuring live music, great food, games and other activities for children of all ages. At sundown, stake your spot along Water and Earl Garrett Streets in anticipation of the renowned holiday lighted parade, a 10-year tradition that features more than 90 entries representing communities, schools and civic organizations from all over the Hill Country. The evening culminates with the courthouse lighting ceremony, where music and other entertainment set the stage for that long-awaited flip of the switch. More than100,000 Christmas lights flood the courthouse and illuminate the entire downtown. Cap off the evening with dinner at one of downtown Kerrville’s superb dining establishments. The festival, parade and lighting ceremony are the first of many holiday celebrations in Kerrville.
